Harlan Community Academy High School

John Marshall Harlan Community Academy High School (known as Harlan High School) is a public 4–year high school and middle school located in the Roseland neighborhood on the south side of Chicago, Illinois, United States. The school is a part of the Chicago Public Schools system. Harlan is named for Kentucky lawyer, politician and Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court John Marshall Harlan. The school opened in 1958.
==History==
Opening in 1958, Harlan served as a neighborhood school only for students living within its attendance area. In 1985, the school was designated as a "community academy" and began accepting students outside its attendance area through the Option for Knowledge program.〔(HISTORY OF JOHN MARSHALL HARLAN )〕
